Courier for Long items - fishing rods, pool cue etc

Hello All,

Did a basic search but can only find an old, closed thread about this.

I have a long (6ft and a bit) carp fishing rod holdall with two rods and reels in it that I want to take off a "collection only" status, a golf stand bag full of clubs and a snooker cue in a long case (about 5ft) to post.

I usually use myhermes but these are all too long/big, but I do have a main post office and various other parcel places not too far away.

Would really appreciate some pointers from anyone who has posting such items recently, economy or otherwise. All of these items are worth £100+. Thank you!

Parcelforce seem to have a service called Express 48 'Large' that will fit the bill. Up to 2.5m in length which my calculator makes 8.2 feet. Only sticking point may be price as it's £25 plus.
