I've looked at the T&Cs but the only thing close is a reference to paying in a cheque at BoS Scottish Isles branches (which takes another day.)

I would assume you can pay cash into any BoS group branch (although there may be a delay.)

Why not ask them though? They have 24/7 telephone banking.

Yes, you can pay cash into a Halifax current account at the Post Office counter. You need a Halifax paying in slip. In my experience it takes about three working days to show up in your account.
