Laptop v Chrome book

Hello can someone advise me on the pros & cons of the above?
Main use would be online games, emails and streaming videos. Next to no typing and spreadsheet use.

For the uses you mention a Chromebook would be cheaper, quicker to boot, probably have longer battery life, and should automatically update to latest version. For best results a chromebook needs to have internet access but for what you want so does a laptop.

In fact for the uses you mention a tablet would probably do the job too and probably a greater choice of games unless the chromebook can run playstore apps (I haven't checked that).

Fly in the ointment comes when you need to do more.

I agree with kwikbreaks - Chromebook are great for the things that you mention. However, understand that you can't plug in an existing printer - you can use a newer wifi printer (although in my experience, it can be fiddly to set up if it isn't Cloud Print ready). Also, if you are an iTunes user, forget it. Some of the larger screens can be quite low-res and grainy. On the plus side, they start up quickly, are easy to use, have great battery life and are immune to virus attacks.
