Basic bank account and credit rating.

Does having just a basic bank account (co-op cashminder) affect your credit rating? Is it worth trying to get an upgraded account as i don't need an overdraft, extras, etc.
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

It can't affect something that is just useless, lenders don't see the score.
