Right to buy?

I have been a tenant with my landlord for about 16 years and I was wondering about the right to buy. My landlord as just recently become a charity. So I don't think would be allowed to buy it now. Am I right?

Have you checked with your Landlords/ Council if the property falls under the Right to Buy scheme? I believe the Right to Buy scheme is mainly Social housing and also some Housing Associations. You will need to find out whether it falls under the scheme.0

It is a housing association that took over the council homes in 1995 but it recently became a charity. I think charity organisations don't allow you the right to buy so that why maybe they became a charity. I have been trying to research this online.0
