Why all the fuss - nothing has changed?

Options
Pro-PPC users were giving it loads after the beavis thing.

But nothing has changed?

Im still chipping away at UKCPM £30-odd a time. Even PE POPLA cases are still being easily defeated.

I dont get it...

Purely because they wanted to put people off from appealing, and to just pay up.

Yep, PoPLA is now happily ruling against PE on lots of other points besides GPEOL.

This is because the whole parking 'industry' preying on motorists in free car parks is a business fundamentally based on lies and a perversion of contract law and as such is unsustainable. This parasitic 'industry' didn't exist 15 years ago nor was there any need for it. It sucks millions out of shoppers pockets every year & I am amazed that the retailers cannot see this.

The government has banned councils from enforcing parking regimes using ANPR so when statutory controls are brought in to rein in the excesses of the PPCs (Parasitic Parking Companies) then we can be sure that ANPR will be rightly banned for all parking enforcement.

Never has a conflated expression ever been more pertinent ... Skimdustry, as espoused by one of our esteemed MSE forum colleagues. :)
