When I download qif files from banks, prevously dowloaded transactions are duplicated and I have to manually merge each transaction.
Is there any way to avoid this if banks don't offer choice in date ranges?

If you can't control what data you get from the banks and you don't want to delete your existing transactions in MoneyDance (because you've spent time linking transactions across accounts or categorising them), a solution might be to get the data from your bank in a CSV format and just delete the rows quickly in a spreadsheet before uploading a manually 'fixed' file.bluebell321 wrote: »When I download qif files from banks, prevously dowloaded transactions are duplicated and I have to manually merge each transaction.

If you don't have spreadsheet software you can get Openoffice or Libreoffice for free, or even edit the CSV file in a text editor like Notepad, though less user-friendly0
