check which one you fall in and use a template. (Sounds like within 3m of foundations) Speak to neighbour and explain. get them to sign and return then nowt to worry about.
If the house is rented then just do the works anyway as the landlord will never likely know ;-) and he cant do owt once you start.0 -

yes and theyve probably already got a letter coming to you with a £1000 plus fee. speak to the owner asap with appropriate documents. These things should be able to be sorted without anyine intervening. PW surveyors and "law" if you can call it that is a joke0
