Cheap flights

Hi
How do you know that cheap flight websites are legitimate , ie looking at momondo and the flights are great prices but have not heard of the companies eg skytours , ebookers , opodo etc , I do not want to book with a company that may go bust and lose our flights or maybe a bit dodgy

You make a note of the details and check the airline's website for their prices.

You need to be aware that a large number of the third party sites do not have live pricing. They can show fares that are the cheapest (to come out top in comparison sites) but the process can often go as follows
    1) Make booking online for flight that is £x cheaper than booking direct with the airline
    2) Receive a message from the agent that, unfortunately, the fare you selected has sold out and you will need to pay additional to still book the flights you want or wait for a refund (could take weeks)
    3) Pay the extra and find you have ended up paying the same or more than booking direct with the airline (and you better hope that you don't need to make any changes to the booking as this brings additional T&Cs and fees on top of any the airline may charge)
    or
take the refund and book direct with the airline

Worth checking reviews on somewhere like Tripadvisor forums before parting with any money (you will find many posts from people who did no homework, booked, got stung, then post to warn others)

I assume you used Opodo before they became part of the same group as edreams...reviews in the last couple of years are anything but good

Ebookers is indeed a reputable company...

Opodo does sometimes deliver what it promises, but many people have had bad experiences with it.
