As some people may be aware - all my prizes I don't want are sold and the money raised is placed into a "pot" for things I do want.

Well after 18 months of entering and selling all the prizes I had enough to buy myself this..... so thanks to everyone that posts all the competition for my lovely new car :beer:

    I don't have a prob with people winning and selling - it's a moneysaving site and why there's a comp forum in the first place. (I wouldn't enter for things like baby stuff though...)

    that is pretty awesome, well done! as a non-comper the obvious question is how much time did you spend over 18 months to raise that money? is it a good reward to time/effort ratio?

    Awesome story.


    Entering comps for something you don't want only for it to go to waste (tickets, trips etc) when someone else could have enjoyed them - or for stuff to sit in a cupboard gathering dust, I don't like the idea of.


    But setting a goal for something big and using the sale of unwanted prizes to achieve it is a great idea and has certainly paid off for you. Congratulations on reaching your target.


    Definitely an idea i'll be considering - now, what should I put on it as my target prize....

    Hi, I would first start with:

    NEW COMPERS PLEASE READ - Competition Board - useful links

    specifically:


    Comping Guide - Getting Started & Other FAQs

    Then just work through the board in any way that you like.Click on the links in the threads and enter your details.Then use the MSE functionality to track your entry.

    Them move on to the next & forget the last comp.
