Just wondering what all you seasoned compers do.
Do you enter every competiton you can? (whilst selling off anything you win that you don't want)
Do you only enter things that could be particularly useful to you/nice to have?
Or do you just enter the big "win (insert technial gadget worth over X amount)" competitions?#
At the moment I'm enterring competitions who's prizes interest me (as well as certain rare ones with high value prizes I could potentially sell on ebay for a return)

No - I don't have time! I enter for what I want. The only thing I enter for that I may sell on is gaming consoles - I enter in case my nieces don't have one and I can give it for Christmas. Easy to sell on if not wanted.
If you literally only entered for huge wins, your success rate would be extremely poor or non-existent.
I can't keep up with the board as it is and comp by end date. If I'd cleared the lot, I may think about entering to sell, but can't see that ever being a reality! Even then, the hassle of selling would probably put me off!
Do what suits you

Pure greed !!
enter for what you wantSpeak your mind.- Nobody else will do it for you.0 -
Enter as many as you can find that interest you on MSE.
Use the MSE functionality to track your entry to ensure that you do not dupe an entry.
Then repeat & forget each separate comp.
Then just hope some come back as wins.0 -
I enter any competitions that have prizes that I truly want and could use or that I could give as gifts to friends and family. I don't enter for DVDs or books or flowers or tickets or anything like that. I even stopped entering competitions for kindles and other things I have already won and own. If I feel someone else could put the prize to better use or if I feel iffy about whether I want or could use the prize, I don't enter. Same for ugly clothes. Others might like those clothes, lol.0

I only enter for what I would like/use. I appreciate everyone has their own way but I'd hate to think I took a prize from someone who would have really loved it just for me to flog on.
ie. I never enter competitions for prizes suitable for kiddies or families as they're no use to me.0 -
NB: Other comping portals are available but why bother entering via others when MSE has so many comps.
I would not imagine many comps are missed off here given how many are posted compared to other sites.0 -

I wouldn't really judge. This is mostly why I ask, as some people could potentially see it as an extra source of unreliable income (for things they don't want) or added luxuries they couldn't otherwise afford, not neccessarily greed.0 -

i'll happily judge but if it's for things you can't afford, fair enough
if it's for stuff they don't want then why enter , if it's for potential sale, then greedSpeak your mind.- Nobody else will do it for you.0 -

I'd say that entering for a Samsung Galaxy S6 or tablet simply for the sake of having an S6 is greed. Just because i'd rather have the cash than a model more advanced phone doesn't make me a greedy person. If anything it gives someone who wants that more, and needs the cash less than I do.0 -
