Seller not responding

I emailed a query to the seller on Monday about an auction & got a quick response.
Auction ended Monday & I was the highest bidder (one other).
Since then they haven't responded to my emails to arrange collection.
I guess they are unhappy with the price, £15 30l brabantia bin (secondhand so hardly a steal!)
What do I do now?
I haven't paid by PayPal as I assumed they would rather cash on collection.

Does the listing offer paypal as an option for payment? Any shrewd seller would have removed this for a collection only item, but a lot don't. If so I'd pay then if no word from them re pick up, file a case for item not received.
If they ignore the case, you'll get your money back and they will have the defect.
However, prior to this, you can apply to ebay for their contact details including phone number, so you can call them to try and arrange collection.0 -
There may be another reason for their lack of reply. I assume it ended this Monday just gone which means it's only been a couple of days and you've already sent at least two emails.
I'd give them a little bit longer to reply (unless it was the previous Monday) and if they don't reply I'd pay by Paypal and see what happens. If they don't refund you and you get no reply open up an item not received case.19lottie82 wrote: »Does the listing offer paypal as an option for payment? All listings have to have Paypal (except vehicle listings, I believe).0 -
Monday was the Bank Hol so they were probably home to reply to your email quickly. I'd give them a few more days - they may only be in for collection at the weekends anyway.0

Yes it ended Monday & I sent the query Monday - to which they responded.
After I "won" the item (also Monday) I emailed again & twice more since, no response whatsoever.
Not even a can't be in till the weekend.
Yes PayPal is an option, but I wanted to be nice & pay cash if they wanted.0 -

Paypal cannot be removed as an option for payment.
As has already been said give them a few more days to respond, if no reply pay via paypal .0 -

I'm guessing they're a private seller? In which case, they may not be online 24/7, especially during the week.
Give them chance to reply. No point in keep sending emails when they could be busy working and not have checked their messages, that'll just annoy them.
If it gets to the point of paying via Paypal then they can refund you and ask for cash if that's what they want.0 -

Yes, apologies, I'm getting confused with vehicle listings....0 -
You could request sellers contact details and try phoning.

My point was just prior to auction end they did a a answer, since then nothing.
Don't buyers have 2 days to pay? That might mean if I don't pay by PayPal they could report me as a non paying bidder?0 -

No, there is no 2 day rule. The 2 days is the earliest time that a seller can open an NPB, and if your seller was daft enough to do that all you would have to do is pay by paypal to close the dispute.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
