If they are unexperience/unqualified then £25k outside of London isnt bad.
If they are experienced then they should know the current rates.0 -
Briefly - what qualifications and experience do you have?
i.e. PRINCE2, IIBA, PMI
And are you north or south in the country?
I've been a Business Analyst for sometime now however work very closely with PM's myself, I could give you an idea of what salary you should be looking at.
Also I can let you know if there are other qualifications that the colleagues here have which they'd recommend or should have on you C.V
Northern Ireland with PRINCE2.0 -
Don't keep us all in suspense - how did you answer the question?
Coming out of the blue it must have come as a bit of a curve ball. After thinking about the question my reply - without the pressure of the real world situation - would be along the lines of "I would certainly give it very serious consideration", nicely non-commital and ambiguous.:)
I'm with the OP, isn't actually stating a salary and would you accept not a bit weird? How bad will it look if the company don't return with a job offer?0 -
In NI you should expect around £24/25k which will rise.
When you become full qualified upwards of £32k.
PRINCE2 is the main 'tick the box' qualification most employers look for. Experience is then a big plus obviously0 -
I expect to hear back today.0
-
Hope you get it.
my department (IT) keep on taking on friends and family so you've got no chance. I have been pushing for a Project Support, analyst or coordinator role for ages but its always the same. Some random bloke walks in with no skills, qualifications or experience (except for lies) and they turn out to be a friend of the boss.
I've started studying PRINCE2 so hopefully thats a step in the right direction.
Rant over, I feel great!
Hope you get the job.

Interesting feedback regarding friends.
The recruiter who placed me for the role has said it's not looking good due to the length of the interview although she hasn't heard anything back as of yet.0 -
Easy for me to say this but anyway....
Stay positive, be realistic about your options and cut your losses if necessary.
Like it or not I'm going to have to move on from my current place. I'm just looking at self-employment now.

I would agree with the recruiter but why did the employer spell the salary out like that at the end? Doesn't make sense.0
