Lamona HJA8553 Washing machine HELP!!!!

Hi,
We recently moved into a housing association property which came with a nice fitted kitchen. The house is just over six years old and not in bad nick given its young age.
We have never heard of a Lamona washing machine before, but it seems one of the downsides of this kitchen is that they have fitted an integrated washing machine not many have heard of.
We have a problem at the moment in that whichever programme I select, it runs for quite a while, then stops and the following lights are flashing:
Time to end light flashing on 90
Stop light flashing
Cold wash button flashing.
Door locked light solid.
As a consequence, the machine refuses to unlock the door and pressing start just begins the entire programme again. I have found the only way to resolve the matter is to cut the power at the wall several times until the door finally unlocks.
I have been through the entire manual book and it makes no mention of this. Clothes are coming out clean so far, but I have concerns that it is not heating the water. Does anyone know where or what I should do or try next?
I wish I could just have a trusty non-integrated machine like in my old place, they cost next to nothing these days and have a proper display screen which tells you exactly what is happening.

Thanks for your post, yes I had seen some of the comments on that thread and it did not fill me with confidence! Can't believe it has lasted the life of the house!
I am used to medium quality Samsung machines which have a display to tell you exactly what is going on rather than a twisty wheel.
The troubleshooting section of the Lamona instruction manual is utterly useless. The scenarios are all easy such as, "My machine won't wash clothes" Answer: "Check it is plugged in".
I suppose my next question is, who is responsible for this machine? Is it me the tenant or the housing association landlord. It does not mention anything in my tenancy.0 -
I think I would try the HA landlord as a first port of call the then Howdens after that I think it could be investing in a machine that is not manufactured by a tin pot company.
I do hope someone can help you but reading the thread I posted I think it will be a bin job at the end of the day:0(0 -
Being Howdens, It's only a door over the appliance. Remove that and younshould be able to fit a 'normal' machine in.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Generally, the landlord is responsible for repairing any appliances they provide, unless it was specifically excluded as part of the tenancy agreement. This is why many landlords do not provide appliances and prefer tenants to get their own.0

I had thought that, though the facia below would also need changing as it runs the length of the kitchen unit, but I think I should first check with the landlord to make sure I am allowed. If I buy one, I would be wanting to take it away with me when I vacate.Generally, the landlord is responsible for repairing any appliances they provide, unless it was specifically excluded as part of the tenancy agreement. Doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere in tenancy agreement which was why I was a little confused over who is responsible. I would be more than happy to provide my own machine, but would really prefer to get a full sized one, I am not a fan of the integrated ones. I will check with LL and see which way is best to proceed.Doozergirl wrote: »My last tenants stole them all. Needless to say, they won't be replaced.0
