Hi all
I've seen similar posts to this in the past but mine is a little different. I just applied for a lloyds BT card and was accepted after the quick credit check. I was then on the balance transfer page but the page crashed when I hit continue. This meant I never got to the confirmation page. I just phoned lloyds up but I got literally the most uninterested customer service advisor iv ever come across who basically said he could do nothing for me. I explained I would be happy to go on and reapply if they could wipe the credit search but again he said he couldn't help. Does anyone have any advice on this? I was to apply for a BT card asap but I'm worried about the multiple credit searches (I already had one in February for a mortgage that I did not take in the end), is this a legitimate worry or should it cause no issue to apply again?

I just had a similar thing happen with nationwide. It kept crashing just after the credit check. I racked up 7 credit checks! I sent them a pm and they said they would contact the relevant department to have the erroneous checks removed. I do not have access to my credit report so cant confirm this to have worked.
Credit searches only make up a certain proportion of the items on a credit record though so they shouldn't have too great an effect imo. Best to get them removed at any rate.0
