Motorway service station car park congested, could not leave in time

I am just putting my appeal letter together to Parking Eye; I am unsure at this stage whether to mention the congestion in the car park, or just go with the template on the sticky, and not mention mitigating circumstances.
The reason I hesitate is that the template letter has some inflammatory phrases and I don't know whether that is helpful at this stage; surely a polite letter is more likely to illicit a more favourable response; or am I just being naïve here?0 -
You can leave out the 'rant' element, without detriment to the appeal. You could put in a final paragraph about the congestion, but you need to talk about 'the driver', no 'me, myself or I'.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

they often do follow ups so it might be worth a letter/email
Patrick Troy who runs the BPA also asked for emails to improve the BPA so perhaps an email to him might be nice
