EHIC Lost

Can anybody tell me if photocopies of EHIC cards are acceptable in Spain.
Going Saturday and we cant find them, but have scans on the computer from last year.

Thanks mate, looks like if the worst happens and they refuse a photocopy then i will be on the phone to them.
Already sorted the travel insurance so hopefully wont be needed.

Most travel insurances expect you to exhaust the EHIC route before resorting to the insurance. They probably will not cover anything that should be covered by the EHIC
