Have DWP started sending letters out prioir to each payment?

OH has been in reciept of DLA for a while now and today they recieved a letter to say they will be paid £220.40 into our bank which is "money owed from 28th April - 26th May.." according to the letter.
Today is the next due date of DLA anyway and have been getting £220.40 for a while, give or take a few pence increses each year.
Why would they send a letter out to tell us what we know?
Nothing has changed at this end or is this a new thing thing the DWP are doing ever 4 weeks?

No, they have not, that would be insanely expensive.
Their systems are so 'differently abled' that they would qualify for benefit on their own.
It is frequently the case that reviews of the case or some other process triggered by staff lead to letters confirming the current entitlement.0 -
Is this anything to do with your using the DLA mobility to buy a mobility car?0

Yes, but they've had the car since start of March so had a couple of DLA payments since then and confirmation of what the payments will be a while ago.0

I'd guess the previous payment was partially old rate, partially new rate ( the rates change beginning April ), so as this payment is all at the new rate they've written to confirm, just in case OH wondered why it was different yet again?:mad: :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0

This weeks payment was the same as the last payment they got.0
