in Credit cards
I've had a Nat West credit card for years. Always had payment protection and for as long as I can remember Iv'e always collected some sort of point's.
This morning I received a letter from Nat West telling me that they are stopping the points and if I don't use them by October iv'e lost them. Also they're removing all the insurance benefits that I have paid for all these years.
I can if I wanted to get them back, swap credit cards to Nat West's new one, however there is a catch "A yearly fee"
Can they do that after all this time?

Check your T&Cs about what it says about altering the terms. Any sensible bank will have clauses that allow it to vary terms and there is nothing stopping any bank withdrawing a product if it desires.
With the changes in card processing fees many banks are taking the opportunity to adjust their reward propositions whilst they have a piece of EU legislation to blame for it.0 -
Thanks.
Yes the terms do allow the bank to alter, vary or withdraw cover. They seem to have covered themselves quite well there.
PPI recovery was something I hadn't really looked at before but now Nat West have given me a nudge in that direction I am going to see if I am entitled to PPI recovery.
What have I got to loose, they can only say yes or no and if I hadn't received this letter this morning I wouldn't have even thought about it.
Off to fill out the form. Thanks Nat West. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.0
