VCS Fine Doncaster Airport

Good Morning All,
My partner has today received a fine for stopping at the Doncaster airport area.
They state that its a £60 fine & have a picture of me (I was driving at the time not my partner) parked on a road which is closed off.
This really does seem a bit of a joke & a money making racket, any advice on how to proceed?
Thanks
Jamie

It's not a fine! It's an invoice.....
You need to read the NEWBIES thread at the top of this forum.
Read it carefully and take a little time to understand the issues involved.
You will get help on here but you do need to put in some of the groundwork and do a little research yourself as the regulars simply dont have time to take everyone through each step.
Do not pay, but do not ignore, do not say who was driving and keep it in the third person "The driver did not see...." etc.Bournemouth - home of the Mighty Cherries0 -
oh gosh , they seem to forget that bylaws are in place on the land , http://www.robinhoodairport.com/uploads/documents/DSA_Car_Park_Terms_and_Conditions.pdf
yup they actually admit it.
this is simply a clone of the VCS/JLA scam , use those words for a search , and chill out.
DO NOT reply in any way naming the driver0 -
look for previous RHA threads (use the forum search) and then read and follow the newbies sticky thread
bear in mind that VCS are no longer BPA members so dont use popla, so look at threads that mention the IPC and IAS
also look for similar threads for JLA (liverpool) and Humberside https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5195073, as this money making racket has been going on for a veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy longgggggg timeeeeeeeeeeeeee
see this old blog when they WERE bpa members http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/prankster-operator-guide-to-winning-at.html0 -
Many thanks for the help folks, just going through the newbie thread & will be sending them the appeal letter via email today
Ill keep you posted0 -

Ill keep you posted
you might as well post them some knitting patterns for all the help it might do.
there are numerous reasons why the ticket is almost "obtaining money unlawfully" , VCS will not back down , the IPC will say you are "guilty as charged"
HOWEVER
VCS will not want this or any other case from that site or JLA to actually get to a court room , as if it does , the judge will see thru the scam and there house of cards will collapse.
if you do intend writing , be very careful NOT to name yourself, as (because of other reasons) they can only chase the driver , not the owner , unless you put your foot in it0
