The only thing that wont change is the amount of money you have to keep shelling out just to keep up.

hi there
i would tend to go for a belkin wireless network card as they will talk to anything as i have a range of different equipment working on my pc,s/laptop also dont go for anything that isnt stamped 54g or greater as this prevents a lesser chance of dip in signal.(i can use my laptop in the garden through 3 walls and approx 50 mtrs from the house)belkin cards are so easy to install and connect they virtually do it themselfs
p.c world had a 125mbps(better than 54g) for less than £30 on there website a short while ago and belkin has a lifetime warranty.i personnaly wouldnt have gone for a bt voyager a belkin/netgear/dylinxs are far superior pieces of kit and usually support additional software inside them i.e wireless security options parental control .
i struggled like hell setting my first wireless network up as i went down the xp route(xp autosetup),again i wouldnt advise this as this methoid took me 3 days to realise it wasnt going my way,i sat and read the belkin/netgear manuals for around 30 mins and had the netwrok set up in two hours and by no means am i a tech geak
hope this helps somewhat
anymore questions let me know ill try to assist
lapatneed to have a lightbulb moment0
