Hi I'm trying to improve my credit rating as il be honest made some poor decisions when I was younger ..
I've had a ccj about 8 years ago and about 5 defaults also 8 /9 years ago .
Two months ago I settled two outstanding debts and applied for aqua just to see if they would accept me .
They have me a £300 limit at 34.9 % interest .
So far I've spent about £10 on groceries in tesco .
I intend to pay balance in full every month ..how much monthly shall I be spending on it ? I want to help my credit file so maybe in a couple of years I could apply for a better credit card .

As much as you want providing that you remain within the limit. They have me a £300 limit at 34.9 % interest .

Set a DD up to pay in full and not to miss a payment accidentally.
You could have applied for Aqua Reward then that is one of the best CCs around.I want to help my credit file so maybe in a couple of years I could apply for a better credit card .0 -
Yes indeed it helps, try not to spend more than half your available limit, even one third will be better, pay it in full, never be late, and you will see them gradually increasing your limit, also your chances for getting mainstream cards will increase.0
