    Another vote for Oregon Scientific, ours is ten years old and still going strong and never had any problems with it.

    I have the wireless version of the Davis Vantage Pro 2 which has operated with no problems whatsoever for the last 7 years. The design is a bit dated but they are built for commercial use and very robust. They retail new for c. £600 but you can find perfectly good ones on ebay for much less.
