Virgin Media Contract Causing Poor Credit Rating

Prior to last month I had a fair credit score on Experian.
However others have said on forums that if you have zero loans, zero credit cards etc this is not a fair score it is a non-existent score as Experian has no credit data on you.
Last month I took on a Virgin Media contract. I set up a direct debit and have not missed any payments.
However now my rating is poor and 14 marks of fair. Here are Experian's comments:
You do not have enough historic revolving credit account data available to calculate a balance trend.
The average age of your credit accounts is 7 months.
You have opened 1 new credit account in the last 6 months
I do not understand how the average age of credit accounts can be 7 months when it is only 1 month since I took on the contract.
How long do I have to hold the Virgin contract for before I go back to fair?

Don't focus on your score as its meaningless, lenders don't even see it so cant use it.
Keep on paying the Virgin Media subscription and look at maybe getting a credit card.0 -
The credit score from Experian is just a guide for you - nothing more. It is not sold on to potential lenders.
There must be other data recorded other than the Virgin account. Bank current accounts for example, count as credit products. They must be shown on the accounts section o your report?0 -
Why are you worrying about your credit score?
its pretty meaningless.
It is about your relationship with debt, not your wealth - as Dave Ramsey would say ;-)Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0
