So i spoke with a respected trader today and got some details and numbers from them. However to me, it seems a good deal. But i would rather a second opinion (a wiser more experienced opinion
)
The car in question is the new 2015 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 (Petrol) Limited Edition model.
List Price: £14,350 (Carwow price)
Dealer Price: £12,095
Over £12k for a CORSA??????
Don't do it. Just don't. I appreciate you're not going to hand over £12k on the day, but still.......0 -
No, i appreciate the comment, do you recommend any other new cars for £12,000?

I always recommend ford fiestas. I have one at the minute and it's a great little car. Couldn't tell you about pcp or residuals on them, just it was a great car0 -
There's nothing wrong with a Corsa (IMO) but, just...... £12k??
I bought a pre registered corsa sxi (decent ish spec) for £9k when I passed my test, and I wouldn't say I regret it, but it really was a waste of money.
I sold it 4 years later with 27,000 on the clock for £4300.
If you have a £12k budget can you not get something a bit better than a...... Corsa??
Even £9k will get you a one year old, ultra low mileage, 4 door Toyota Yaris with lots of bells and whistles (Bluetooth, reversing camera).
Sure brand spanking new cars smell nice.....
Meh. It's your own choice I suppose but 12k, on a CORSA???0 -
No i agree however I have researched the new corsa a lot, and it is a significant improvement than previous models, and does come with far more equipment than previous models. Thanks for the info though

I like the look of the new Clio. Not driven it, it just looks nice.
Similar price to the Corsa, though.
I bought a Renault Captur a couple of months ago, and that is £156 per month - unfortunately that low-rate PCP offer ran out at the end of March. But there are offers about.0 -
Yeah i saw the Capture deal not to long ago. Wasn't a fan of the capture though, my friend got the Clio though, i thought it looked nice, but changed my opinion. Still looks to much like the old clio at some angles ha0

Why not look around for someone who will give a discount off the price and use the 0% deal? Broadspeed are showing a £1699 discount and might be able to get the 0% deal as well; other brokers might also be able to help.0 -

But it is still Vauxhall! And what do Vauxhalls do best? Lose you money.
I'd be very surprised that a Corsa would hold anything more than 35% of its price new after 3 years. At a guess trade in would get you about £4550.
Mind you I do have to admit that they hold their price better than Fiat or Alfa.
I got stung with a new Alfa in 05. Paid £21000, - 2 years later I part ex'd it for £7000.0
