Secure Trust Bank Account Monthly Account Fee

Hello fellow money savers,

I am very new to this and might be asking a silly stoopid question, but here goes....

We swapped our bank account to Secure Trust a couple of years ago, they charge us a monthly account fee of £12.50, is there a way we can prevent this apart from the obvious and switching bank accounts,

Thank you guys for taking the time to read this

    i don't think so...
but unless you can't get a 'full' bank account elsewhere, i can't see a reason not to switch.

I don't think this fee can be avoided as it's the main feature of their
"refreshingly simple bank account .... open to everyone regardless of credit history."

Just vote with your feet as soon as you can do this.

Unless you have been bankrupt or been involved in fraud (Leaving a CIFAS marker on your files) you should be able to get a basic bank account for free (unless you have debts with all of them).
No charge for spending your own money and you would save £150 per annum.
