Would you choose to live this close to a school? **UPDATED**

I've seen a house that seems to tick most of my boxes, only snag is that it's fairly close to a school. There's no direct access so parking won't be an issue, I was thinking more in terms of noise.
I work shifts so often need to sleep during the day and wasn't sure whether the noise might be an issue?
I know the advice might be to go during school hours and see what the noise is like but it's half term and the market round here for houses of this type means this will be snapped up by within days - without a doubt.
So was wondering whether this would put you off buying? Any experience of living close to schools?
Thanks in advance for any input
UPDATE: Having viewed from the outside the whole area is a no go!
Strangely enough there's one other house that came on at exactly the same time and that one is right by a school too! This one is an infant school, can't find out how many pupils and again the house is at the end of a cul-de-sac with no direct access so parking won't be an issue.
Second house - near infant school - views on this one appreciated

For comparison, first house in middle of ghetto near junior school!

Nope. That's plenty far enough away for me. You may get a bit of noise during play time, about an hour a day but no much beyond that, and you'd only hear it if the wind was your way.0

The noise would really only be from the playground and it wouldn't be too annoying I would imagine. Maybe take a stroll down the road at break time?Gather ye rosebuds while ye may0

There will be quite a lot of noise, but go past during the day during a break time and see how bad it is. As long as you are away from the entrances it should be fine.0

Thanks all
jimblog & squeeks - unfortunately it's half term so no school and this house will be STC within days so I've no opportunity to view in term time. The entrance is right round the other side so parking/congregating parents won't be an issue.0 -
Well put in an offer and go subject to contract. You'll not get very far in the first week and can pull out with no cost incurred if you find the noise too much.0

It would put me off. (And I don't need to sleep during the day.)
The playing fields are pretty close to the house, and playing sports = loud shouting0 -
It looks ok. If you do decide to go for it and your offers accepted you can always still hang around after half term to check it out. Nothing is binding till exchange so you can always pull out (but do it soon so you don't waste any more of their time than necessary!) Whereas if you don't bid you definitely won't get the opportunity!0

All that seperates our garden from the school playing fields is a 12 ft wire fence.... we do get a bit of noise, lunch time for an hr, which is summer time otherwise they use the play ground or sports day, (2 afternoons/mornings a yr).
I asked my dad as he use to work nights, and sleep in day, he said it took a week or so he got use to it, it was more likely to be the neightbour mowing the lawn which disturbed him more than the kids
So from where you are, I would say u'd be fine, - inbetween have a walk around the area, the street, - lunchtimes would be the best if ou can xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I'd be more concerned with the fotball pitch in my back garden.
(Let alone the phallic shaped road system(?) top left)0 -
My garden literally backs onto a primary school playground. I even end up with some of their balls over my fence. Yes the sound of children playing during lunchtime and during sports activities could be loud enough to prevent sleep. However I don't find it an annoying noise and you'll be much much further away so I can't see it would be a problem.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
