Good enough rating for Sim only?

I had some money issues after finishing university as a mature student, this led to me ending up on benefits and a default on a credit card.
This was 2012, I have since paid off the defaulted card in full (marked as closed and satisfied in full on noddle, default date 2012). The only other thing is two late, not missed payments in early 2013. Since then no missed payments on credit card £550 balance, £1000 limit, on electoral roll and have a perm job.
I have an overdraft with same bank as credit card (£1050) thats it really.
I currently have a payg mobile with 02, costs me about £10-20 a month. I'd like to go sim only contract, would I pass credit check for an 02 sim only deal? My noddle is still 1/5 despite no active defaults and no missed payments in 2 years?

Hard to say. Give it a try.
I got an O2 contract with phone via carphone warehouse and my credit report is full of defaults.:beer:0 -
Your 1/5 on noodle isn't worth worrying about.0

I got a sim only contract with vodafone about a week after my IVA completed, and once that was complete a sim only with three(still got 4 years before it drops off). The IVA means I've got lots of partially satisfied defaults, as well as the IVA entry itself
Given this I would think you'll be ok, if you are rejected try caling them (vodafone rejected online, but overrode this when i phoned)0 -
Hi There,
I work for O2, and can say that you should try and apply for a SIMO contract as the acceptance requirements are lower than say if you were applying for an O2 Refresh Contract. I believe O2 Use Experian & Equifax for credit checking, just ensure than Bank Card you wish to setup the plan with is registered to the same address as everything else, such as any credit cards, electoral roll. etc.
Any Other Questions, Ask and I will try and Help.

Is it because you want a cheaper deal or to build your credit up? O2 report your monthly payments so going with them for sim only will help rebuild credit however there are other options if that's not an important issue, one is giffgaff where you are PAYG but can buy monthly bundles to effectively make it as cheap as a sim only deal0

so yeah, debit card is too current account and all at address for electoral register.
Are carphone warehouse any harder than 02 direct? Will give 02 a go at end of month then.0 -
its who I am with now, so thinking that I am a current customer should help changing numbers and faffing.
They are doing unlimited minutes, texts and 2gb for £18 a month, The only cheaper tariff I can find is virgin at £15 for the same. Not sure about their coverage though.0 -
Good news passed the credit check for 02! unltd minutes and texts and 2gb per month for £18!
plus the direct debits clearing should help credit rating further.
So pleased about this, feels like starting to get things together again a bit.0 -

Lol your credit rating is worthless.
Your credit history is what's important.0
