New Build Company Complaint

Hi, I am in need of some advise, I recently put down a reservation on a new build property and was told and given information regarding what extras could still be added to the property that I am now being told were never able to be added at the time of reserving. I feel very misled as if I had know this at the time I would not have reserved the property. I have written 3 emails of complaint to the company and the only response was an incredibly rude telephone conversation saying everything I was saying was incorrect.
I am unsure where I can go from here, do I contact the company again? can I contact trading standards as I believe I was missold the property. I did have to put down a deposit when reserving the property

What do you have from the builder in writing? Anything that wasn't written down you'd have to argue in court, and with no physical evidence it'll be your word against theirs.0

What "extras" are in question?0

The only paper work I have was a extras list that states the property was post roof and highlighted what extras could be added, and then emails from the company to say that no extras could be added after the roof is on, which contradicts the extras list.
I also have emails to say I would be invited to a meeting to choose tiles etc, then when I asked why I had not been invited I have emails to say they weren't sure if I was buying or not so I wasn't invited. This is despite them still have my deposit.
The extras were just things like a fully tiled bathroom that I wanted0 -
If you have things in writing proving beyond reasonable doubt that these promises were made to you, I can't imagine it'll be hard to get your money back.0

Do you still want the property without the extras?
I'm reading that you haven't paid for any extras but you wanted to but they are now saying you can't.
A lot of extras will be cheaper to buy/get fitted separately - the building company might have saved you a few quid by refusing to fit any. Although it is more convenient to have things like tiles fitted before you move in.
I'm not sure about the miss-selling in this case because the flat itself hasn't been miss-described - the flat is what was described, it's that you can't add extras. Not sure you could pull out of the contract on that basis and get your money back. Have you spoken to your solicitor?0 -
I did still want to property, however I feel very upset by the way I have been treated. Also not happy that I I wasn't allowed to choose the tiles, as I wasn't invited to meeting to choose them.0

So what do you want?
They are not going allow you to have any extras so you can tick that off the list.
You can ask for compensation but you have suffered no financial loss, so you can tick that off.
You could ask for goodwill but I doubt they are going to give you anything, especially after you say they were rude on the phone. It seems to me that once a builder has got your money they don't give a stuff. Your still going to buy the property so why do they care how you feel? - that's seems to be attitude of house builders in my experience.0
