I have written to companies regarding ppi, while I have documentary evidence that I am owed ppi, the response from the lender has been that it was sold through an intermediary broker. I cannot see any broker name on the paperwork, Anyone know how I can make/ request the loan company supply me the broker name?

Phone them up and ask?
You wouldn't see a broker name on the paperwork, all a broker does is source the best deal for you and submit your application to the lender. You also need to be aware that having PPI does not mean you are "owed" money. There is nothing wrong with having the product, the whole issue relates to the way it was sold to some people.0 -

That is an interesting statement as the PPI issue is not about owing money. What have you got that makes you think you are owed money?Anyone know how I can make/ request the loan company supply me the broker name?
Just ask the lender who the broker was.
Do note, that most loan brokers were not regulated prior to 14 January 2005. So, if you bought the loan prior to that, the broker can usually reject your complaint as being pre-regulation.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). it is a common reply in this site that I should not assume the ppi is owed. I am actually seeking repayment on what I know is owed as I was missold the policy.
I will try asking the lender to be nice and tell me the name of the broker. and yes all loans were post 2005.
as banks and loan companies have come clean and admitted that ppi was a sneaky little gimmick to boost their own income I will pursue my repayment for wrongfully sold ppi.0 -

Right. So, you are not owed anything then. You are seeking to make a complaint which could, if successful, result in a redress payment.as banks and loan companies have come clean and admitted that ppi was a sneaky little gimmick to boost their own income I will pursue my repayment for wrongfully sold ppi.
Would you like to name the banks and loan companies that have said that?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. If you don't know who sold it to you and it doesn't appear on your credit report, there's no way of knowing who the broker was.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

If you can't remember the sale, and who sold it to you, how can you be so sure it was missold?0

Its quite simple - the chance of getting a refund increases the likelihood it was missold in the same way that a minor bump in a car causing no injury often results in "whiplash" manifesting itself once the victim gets a sniff of some potential compo;)0
