Who owns who

Can someone paste a link and/or list of which credit card companies own which cards. For example I know HSBC owns M&S Money

I don't want to apply with the same company!

Didn't realise that Beneficial was owned by HSBC.

On my 'Hilton Hhonors' card (not on that list BTW) - a balance transfer cannot be made from another Beneficial card - says nothing about another brand of card owned by HSBC

If memory serves, HSBC took over the HFC stable, which included Beneficial, Hilton Honors and Marbles cards, some four years ago.

Most MSEs know that you cannot request balance transfers between cards which are owned and operated by the same lender. However, commercial relationships change and may not even be mentioned in credit card literature, hence the value of this table.

HSBC and M&S being one exception though, because you can BT from HSBC to M&S.
