Barclaycard balance transfer

Just received my Barclaycard 0% balance transfer card.

During the application process I listed the two balance transfers; will these be done automatically or do I need to input the details again after my card is activated?

If you entered all details, not just the amounts, I don't see why you would need to repeat this.

It's best to check - do not assume it will be done automatically!

In many cases the balance transfers will go through automatically when an application is processed but if the application is subject to further internal checks (which you may not be aware of), then the transfers will not be done automatically and you will have to process them again once your account is opened.

If you check your new Barclaycard account online you should be able to see if the transfers have been processed or not.

When I did my application for the 0% Barclaycard, I put down the cards that I wanted balance transfers from at the application stage.

The balance transfer was not processed, I found out this when I was called by them to answer a few security details. I mentioned that I had put down a couple of cards which I wanted balances transferred to the new card. They said it was not processed for some reason but were happy to process them there and then.

In short, Like Scaredy Cat said, do not assume it will be done automatically, In my case it wasn't.

Seems that my transfers were not processed automatically. All done easily online now.
