UKPC Parking Charge - Appealed, what now?

Hi friends, I put a ticket on my car before I went to watch a film, but it fell on to the floor with out me realising. I know this is my mistake. I appealed the ticket and told them what happened, but I now realise this isn't the right course of action.
What I don't understand, is why I need to put my Reg in to the ticket machine and the car park is covered by ANPR cameras at the entrance and exit. They surely know I have paid.
Anyway, I received an appeal rejection letter yesterday, dated 11th May, stating that I can appeal to POPLA within 35 days, but I only have 17 days remaining. Can somebody please give me some advice? I apologise for not coming here before, but hey, we live and learn.

Because, if you do not they will try to claim a lot of money for breach of contract. Have you read the stickies? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

I'll be honest, I started reading the stickies and then stopped when it said to not use mitigation. I then proceeded to panic.
They've offered to drop the fine to £15, but my issue is that I've actually paid to use their car park. I spoke to the guy issuing the ticket and he said he saw the ticket on the floor, but it had already been entered in the system. He was the one that told me to appeal, I didn't get any badge number or anything though.0 -

How would they scam the people that make a slight mistake with inputting their number?
What fine are you talking about?
Forget about his badge number he would deny the conversation anyway, why would he admit it and miss out on his bonus for scamming you?
If this was a fair and equal industry they would look for your ticket on the floor, and if you sent them a copy they would say fair enough, but it isn't fair and they are only interested in your money.
Mitigation does not work you will only win on legal points now, it's all in the newbies thread.0 -

In the photos of their evidence on their website, you can see the ticket on the floor. I had to laugh.0
