Huge porcelain tiles for bathroom - HELP!

Like most MSE'rs, I can't resist a bargain. We're in the middle of doing a loft conversion, and I was desperate to have limstone tiles; but they are WAY out of out budget.
So - when I saw gorgeous limestone-esque 60X60cm polished porcelain tiles in B&Q for £8 per sq m, I couldn't resist. Having given my OH a hernia getting 14 boxes in and out of the car, I now have no idea what to do with them.
The bathroom has chipboard flooring and will have a bath with a shower unit over one end. The walls are partition and most of them have already been plastered. I think our cheapskate builder used ordinary plasterboard. The suite has not yet been fitted.
I would like to tile to half wall height and full height around the shower area. The tiles are 60x60 cm and 1cm thick. Can I use them on the walls? Will they be too heavy?
What should I do to prepare for tiling - I know not to use PVA after reading through some other threads. Anything else I should know? How much should I expect to pay for tiling?
Is there a way to get that seamless look that you often see with large tiles - it looks like there are no grout lines? I can post pictures of the space and/or tiles if that would help anyone.
Any advice would be much appreciated - I don't want to have got a stupendous bargain, only to mess up the fitting!
Cheers,
dj
