Credit score

Hi
I use Equifax to look at my credit score.
I ran a report on 16th may to see what my score was and it was poor at 248.
At that time I had a CCJ showing on my credit file however it should have never been there and should have been taken off in 2011. I have contacted relevant companies and the CCJ was taken off my files today.
I therefore ran another credit score which shows the CCJ has been taken off however the credit score has now gone worse at 241 and is now showing as very poor!
Nothing else has changed on my credit history all the other information has remained the same so how can the credit score get worse surely if I have had the CCJ taken off it should improve ?
I have contacted Equifax to ask why but no response as yet, so just wondered is there anything I am missing?
Thanks

Hi
Don't focus on the score. Nobody sees it but you.
A potential lender will look at the raw data on your file. If the CCJ is no longer showing then it won't impact on any potential lender's decision.
To answer the question specifically about the equifax score, which I wouldn't bother paying for - my guess is if it only came off today it was still being factored in to that score they sold you today.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

First off you can sit down and have a drink of your choosing as the credit score of 241 is only worth 2 digestives I am about to eat.
Lenders cant see it so don't use it, forget what your score is.0 -
If you are paying for any of the subscription products in this link, then now might be a good time to cancel. The scores are irrelevant marketing features. In the UK, individuals do not have a universal or central credit score and lenders and services do not see or use the consumer scores sold by the Credit Reference Agencies.0
