Its amazing how shiny a car can look on ebay yet turn out to be a rusty wreck
when you goto see it.
Mate got caught out with a Morris Minor. Looked nice in the pictures. As long as you didnt look at the panel seams and anywhere near the bottom.
Give them a call and see how long they have owned it and what service history they
have.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Small alloys sign of a fleet car, someone wants them so put the cheapest ones on. Most likely a reps car and the aerial was for a phone.
and the Red paint was probably the 'free' colour, the service engineer didn't want to pay more per month than he had to. Probably why its sagging, probably had years of carrying a ZTEX3000TURBO SUPER COPIER or such in the back!
Looks tidy because the company would have put it in the bodyshop to get all the minor damage fixed before defleeting to avoid charges.0 -

I doubt it probably came off the fleet 7 or 8 years ago. I bet it's been mopped since though.0 -

If they say they've owned it five years, will I be able to dismiss they're claims as bunkum by looking at the logbook or must I take their word for it?!:cool: lurker:cool::cool:0 -

If they want to see your money then you want to see the log book. Thems the rules mate, plenty more out there.0 -
Yeah the logbook (V5C) should have the address your viewing the car at and the date they registered it.
It will also list the previous keeper. Sometimes its worth contacting the previous keeper, Bit cheeky though, but you may find out they had an
accident in it and their insurance wrote it off. Or they crashed it and sold it
as spares instead of claiming.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Bit (very) concerned that there are no pictures of the inside!'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.
I have opinions, you have opinions. All of our opinions are valid whether they are based on fact or feeling. Respect other peoples opinions, stop forcing your opinions on other people and the world will be a happier place.0 -
Probably one of those quasi trader/private seller jobs. Hardly any genuine old bangers around for sale from genuine people these days.0
