2 DDs to 1 Tesco account

Options
I have a Tesco account with 1 DD from my Reward account.

Can I set up another DD or will I have to open another Tesco account?

I am only going to be using this Tesco account to satisfy the 2 DDs required for my Reward account.

You should open a second Teso savings account for your second DD. They do very conveniently offer two different ones.

Accounts can be two of the same type.

You need a second account. I fell into the trap of thinking 2 DDs to the same account fulfilled the conditions for Lloyds and thus missed two months interest until I opened a second Tesco saver.

Not entirely sure what the OP is asking. The answers already given are perfectly correct but.
If the question is, can I have more than one DD pulling money in to my Tesco savings account. Yes you can.
If the question is, will two DDs to the same Tesco savings account satisfy the T&Cs. No it wont.

I have my tesco account pulling DD from each of my current accounts

    3 x Halifax
    1 x TSB
    1 x Lloyds
    1 x Nationwide

I have used TV licence and my credit cards for the other DD and paypal, as I didnt want to open another tesco account. The money pulled to Tesco savings account is returned back to the accounts the next day as is the paypal credit....

As mentioned two DD to the same account won't count as they are pulled under the same name although It maybe different mandate numbers...

It's not to do with being pulled under the same name otherwise two accounts wouldn't work.

That want what I was explaining, the question was can you have more then one DD being pulled to your Tesco account.

Yes you can as I use the one Tesco account to fund the accounts mentioned above.

I cant answer about the two DD being pulled from the same account as I only have one Tesco savings account and only pull one DD from each of my back accounts, I can confirm that it doesn't work for the halifax reward accounts as they are pulled using the same name as therefore don't qualify as they need to be different DD and on different mandate numbers.

I can see I've been a bit dumb, opening a seperate Tesco Internet Saver account for each DD I wanted to set up:o

So with just two Tesco savings accounts I can keep adding a new DD to each of the two separate accounts ad infinitum to satisfy the transfer two DD rule of most current account switch offers?

    Or am I wrong?!

I use the Tesco internet saver to pull one DD from each of my bank accounts, the other DD is paypal, TV licence, and home insurance. as these DD dont get cashback from Santander so use them to get the interest payments.

I think you can open one each of the savings accounts and use them both to pull the DD across but they have be the different mandates to qualify...

Im not sure if you can open two internet savers and pull one from each or if it has to be the other savings account that tesco offers....

My Tesco internet saver account has six DD on it on the 1st of the month. which allows me to qualify for the interest/cashback payments on my bank accounts.

As long as they are on different mandates they will qualify, but to be sure open up one of each savings account and pull one DD from each, then it will be fine.
