Blackhorse Finance-transfer to Skye Loans Ltd

If you haven't already done so then lodge a formal complaint with them in writing. They have 8 weeks to respond, if they do not to your satisfaction then your next step is the FOS.
You can approach the FOS before this time for advice but they'll normally recommend the above, sometimes they do get involved earlier though.0 -
Hi
My blackhorse secured loan was also transferred to Skye loans -- i would just like to say that when the loan was with Blackhorse i applied for ppi compensation and was refused -- i let the matter go at that time.
When they sold the loan to Skye Blackhorse wrote to me and told me they hadreconsidered thier descision and would now pay ppi compensation to the tune of £5,3000. I amm assuming part of the sale agreement consisted of Blackhorse settling any outstanding ppi claims.
Just something for other members here with loans to think about.
Thanks

i had an agreement with black horse to add 2 months payments on to the term of the loan due to operations in hostpital but skye loans said they dont add on to agreements so i have to pay double for 3 months and they have charged me 300 pounds for being behind0

Hi, we received the same letter in June 2015, according to the Financial Ombudsman Skye Loans are debt recovery agents, we have logged a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman against Black Horse, and the FO are very interested.0

I have been making reduced payments to Blackhorse for 4 years due to circumstance changes. I too received the Skye loan letter. The loan finishes in another 2 years but they now want repayments to recover ALL arrears. This means a reduced payment of £400 will increase to £1500 per month. I have completed an income/expenditure sheet together with proof of earnings. Are they allowed to do this ?0
-
Yes, they are, if it was a temporary arrangement. But go through the income/expenditure process with them and they may well come to a new agreement.0

They said basically that I have no option but to met the new £1500 per month or they could and will take action to force sale of property0

Has anyone else paid off their loan with Skye; I paid off early and they say they do not take the charge off the Land Registry and sent me a DS1 and DS2.
They said I would need to get a solicitor to apply to have the charge removed however they have refused to provide my solicitor with an ID2 saying they have a 'special agreement' with the Land Registry.
My solicitor has contacted the Land Registry and they have told her this is not the case and an ID2 must be sent (ID for a corporate body).
I have raised a complaint with Skye have contacted the ombudsman as to what to do next but I wondered if anyone here had had any experience as apparently the woman at Land Registry said there had been lots of problems with them but as they hadn't been her cases she did not know the outcomes of any of them

I have had severe problems with Skye. I was also transferred with Blackhorse, and was on reduced payments as I got behind after 3 operations. When Skye first took over I phoned them to ask how much I had to pay and they said until they looked into my account keep paying what I could afford, 3 months later a letter arrived to say I hadn't been keeping up my proper payments and they would be sending me a letter with a court date to repossess my house. The staff were awful to deal with, never mind extremely hard to get hold of. I had an account manager who was hardly ever there to speak to and the staff all told me different things about my account. They told me I needed to pay off everything in a lump sum to stop the proceedings in court. I was advised by CAB to keep paying what I could afford until court. My payments went from £150 to £700 now they are saying court proceedings have been stopped but charged me £75 for a letter from the solicitor. I said I would try my best to keep this up - as they told me I have no other option, but on a recent statement the money I am paying them is not just going towards account arrears but fees and charges which they put on the account. I had told them 3 times times that I would pay any charges etc at the end of agreement. I am at the end of my the theter with this company - debt advice can't deal with them, CAB can't deal with them, the solicitor didn't want to deal with them. It is companies like this that push people over the edge- the constant lies on the phone and I feel completely helpless. Anybody else had these problems? Is there anything that I can do re: the charges?0

Skye Loans Ltd are not regulated with the Financial Conduct Authority, which means legally they are not permitted to administer the loan or collect on the loan. Don't pay them another penny.1
