Foxgloves, it's strange how things work out. I'm a big believer in fate. A similar thing happened when DS1 was living in London. One day, he just felt compelled to pull a sickie at work....that was the day of the terrorist underground and bus bombings and he always caught that Kings Cross tube train.....

Wise words to Purple as well. This too shall pass is one of my favourite mantras and I love that quote from Mother Julian.

    Today's list:

    B/L from stores, D...who knows??
    Walk to work and back
    Hoover
    Plan shopping
    Plan next window display
    Check bank
    Check one poll, etc
    Water plants
Start tidying shop back room...this could take a while!
    Take bag to charity shop.

    Have a good day:-)

    What about: http://www.marthastewart.com/337688/cocoa-popcorn

Put some unpopped corn in a casserole dish (no oil required) and put it in the microwave until you hear the pop-pop-pop. Then sprinkle some sugar and cocoa and even some melted butter if you want to be really naughty then toss it all together. Simples. :T I usually just eat it plain or with some salt. If you don't have a microwave then you can do the same in a pan but then you need oil...

I can't actually believe people buy popcorn making machines or bags of microwave popcorn - seems crazy to me! This is by far the cheapest snack there is IMHO and it's relatively good for you/not bad for you ;)

    Happy Friday everyone

Oohh thanks La escocesa. Interested to hear that you eat it with salt as I never manage to get the granuals to stick - I don't know if this will sound daft but how do you make non-oil popped pop corn salty?

  • A massive thank you to everyone with your kind words, and thank you foxgloves for reminding me that everything will be alright.
All will be well and this too shall pass. I am feeling more positive today.
Just reading back what I put last night and I really was having abit of a panic, but as you have all pointed out, it will get sorted one day and I shouldn't spend my time stressing over things I cannot control. I am making cutbacks and getting by and this will only help now and in the future too, so I need to focus on that for now.
I've not been sleeping well recently so I am going to try and shut my eyes for the next hour before a busy afternoon / evening, but thank you for listening to me and giving me your support xxx

Hope everyone has a good day, I'm going to get off here now and make a start.

Still not feeling 100 % but again pleased with what I have achieved.
Also had an email about R0yal mail surveys asking me to join the panel, its ages ago that I applied, I'd forgotten I'd done it!
Bit of a spendy afternoon, as I've signed ds2 up for a 4 day intensive swimming course next week (£16) his usual lesson there has about 10-14 kids in the class and I don't feel that ds is coming on very quickly (he's so laid back, happy just to be in the water, I feel he needs pushing a bit), so far there's only 1 other person booked in with him on this intensive course :) so as I was considering putting him in 1 to 1 sessions for a while at a cost of about £18 a session, I def think this is an mse spend :) Also booked DS1 in but to do kayacking (sp?) £3.75/45mins x 2 days.
Booking them in for these will also give me a bit of structure to the day, as if it wasn't for getting them up for school the last couple of days I could easily have stayed in my Pj's all day.

No big plans for the bank holiday weekend, other then the library tomorrow :)

Have a good weekend all :T

Had a NSD again today! Third one so far this week and not planning to spend anything this weekend either, having a quiet weekend, so chuffed about that.

Did however have to contact capital one. Got an email during work advising that my payment for my credit card was late, besides the fact that I had checked it online a week ago to make sure that my direct debit was set up properly. Phoned through and was immediately put through to a manager without me having to cause any fuss, this immediately got me worried! However manager was very helpful and apologetic and waived the £12.00 late payment fee as it was a system error their end which was all fair and well, understandable I suppose - I work in a contact centre for a certain company company and sometimes we have problems with processing payments too!

Many frantic phonecalls to the rest of my DD accounts later I'm satisfied that all is in order with accounts lol.

Quiet night in, going to persuade my Father to give me a few cans of beer out of his birthday stash to save me buying some for tonight - if he refuses then I suppose no harm done!

Another night in watching the tele aswell, granted that there's something decent on. If my Father doesn't gift me the beer I suppose I should really go out for a run!

    Take care :)
