Hi there please can someone help me Asap.. I have a DRO which has taken effect today Thursday 21st May 2015. The DRO is with my bank I have 2 accounts with them.. A current one and a Basic one where my wages are paid into..
Can the Bank keep my Wage that gets paid into my Basic account if they close my 2 accounts? With the DRO in place? Because I can't access my online banking as they blocked it..
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys.

You would have been better sorting this out before the DRO!
Their right of set-off stopped at the date and time of the DRO. They have no right of action under the moratorium period.
However if the DRO is timed at 10.40 and they took money out at 10.39...0 -
Did your advisor who setup DRO not check\strongly advise you were switched before submitting the application ?
Would love to be a fly on wall in court if bank did try to argue the 10:39 11:40 thing, i'd like to think most judges would tell the bank to get stuff lol0 -
Hi there Guys, Natwest keeps telling that my bank account is either closed or frozen while it goes through the, Insolvency Service, they say that my Wage didn't touch my Basic account on Friday, while an other customer service advisor telling me it's been bounced backed to sender, but it isn't yet in the sender account.
I did set up a new account before the DRO but work couldn't process my new bank details for a week because of bank taxes etc..
What to do?, Natwest are telling me different things..0 -
You need to talk to your payroll department, they can check the payment status, and if it's rejected hopefully pay it in to your new account0

Hi there nwarby, My wage has bounced natwest told me on Friday or Saturday, they closed/froze the account on Friday, Phoned them again today and they said that the payment hasn't been proceed to my account, so it couldn't of been bounced?.. I got in touch with work's payroll and they've told me that my wage hasn't bounced back into there account, and the payment has been sent! .. Is someone lying?
I go away tomorrow early hours in the morning to Tunisia, and i need sort this asap.0 -
Sorry this advice is probably a bit late
Ultimatly if you gave your employer your new bank details, but they payed into the old one, they hold some responsibility (as do you if you didn't give enough notice). I would be asking my employer for some sort of loan while this was sorted out
The money is almost certainly in natwest somewhere, possibly awaiting manual processing, if you can't get anywhere maybe the trustee(not sure if correct term, but who you filled forms with to file for DRO) for DRO might have more luck0
