been trying to load various pages and keep getting the above message.

I have looked and they are all ticked - so have no idea why this has started happening.

They are all web sites that I use regularly

Anyone any ideas?

    What browser are you using?
Which web pages are you trying to access?

I think Chrome gets this issue, or it might be Internet explorer (can't remember, but I was getting this a lot at work).

Basically the browser waits a set time for the server to respond, but because of web filtering/censorship/etc at your ISP, it can take longer than the time allowed and then the browser throws up an error. Basically the browser is being impatient.

Try a different browser, Firefox is never an issue for me.

have you actually tried ensuring the TLS boxes are ticked, and saving the changes? AND using the https:// versions of the websites? You may have to manually edit the address

edit:- also make sure you've got SSL2.0 ticked in those advanced settings, not just the TLS options...

    All browsers is very odd.....

Try turning off any AV/security software you may have installed, it could be this doing it's scanning that's creating a problem.

When did this issue start? what had you recently changed/installed/etc?

well now using IE and everything seems to be ok at the moment
maybe it was doing a scan as you suggested as I had not altered anything - had me pulling my hair out last night.
I did have Noscript, uninstalled it last night - not sure what it is supposed to do anyway

In simple terms it stops stuff running that you don't to run when browsing, but you have to train it to allow stuff you do want
