As the saying goes...... You would, wouldn't you
Not every EA will 'add value' as there are a great deal of lazy and incompetent EAs around who do little more than put a few crappy photos on Rightmove and wait for the phone to ring. But there are enough good ones around, and I'm convinced that they make a difference. But then I would say that, wouldn't I?!

Start at offers over 325k for a couple of weeks and let that agent try and live up to his promises, then remove the 'offers over' bit after a couple of weeks.
If he is that confident then he should be willing to put his money where his mouth is and give you something like a 2 week notice / break-clause in your contract.0
