Savings for a non tax payer

Hi
My partner is going to receive an inheritance in next few days. She is unemployed and not on any benefit so doesn't pay tax.
She will be looking to save £40k so seems Santander might be way to go. What about her not paying tax, can she receive gross interest amount as she has no other income?

Yes.
Really depends what the plans are for it. If you're looking at keeping it long term then investigating S&S ISAs or pensions might be worthwhile.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Yep she can start a SIPP, pay in £2880 each year & HMRC makes it up to £3600 - bear in mind there are restrictions to taking it back out.
Moan: That figure is way overdue to increased in line with inflation.0
