Hi,
I'm new to these forums so apologies if I am lacking some of the etiquette and language.
I am wondering if there is anyone out there who can give me some helpful advice or guidance as I have to wait three weeks for an appointment with the financial advisor for my mortgage.
My income is 17000
My debts are 3600
(overpay all debts every month, never missed a payment)
My credit score is 566 (apparently due to being close to credit card limits and limited time on electoral roll)
Savings is zero
My partners income is 18336
Savings 20,000
Perfect credit rating with no debt.
Do you think that together we will be accepted for a mortgage? Or will My circumstances mean that we will more than likely be rejected? I just want to prepare myself before going to see the advisor.
I feel that my debts are quite low in comparison to other postings on the forum but I'm very anxious and was hoping someone with experience would help.
Thanks in advance

it will come down to affordability calculations - what other commitments/outgoings other than the debt do you have? How much are you looking to borrow, that sort of thing.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

Your debts are high in relation to your income. Going to take a while to repay them. Some criteria is set to protect borrowers from themselves.0 -
