Hi,
Totally new to this forum. I am 28 years old and currently want to save for a house deposit £20k and a Wedding £20k. My partner and me have approx £2800 in debt and no savings as of yet. We want to have the £40k saved by June 2018.
Are there any good budgeting apps out there? (don't have a PC/Laptop)
We would welcome any advice anyone has!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
You Need a Budget is probably the most recommended budgeting software on these forums, and I believe it has an App for andriod and iphones.
Have you worked out how much you should have left from your income after paying for essentials to put towards debt repayments and savings?
That is always a really good start, as it will help you see if the targets are achieveable.
The statement of affairs calculator on the stoozing website it a really useful starting tool for this - http://www.stoozing.com/calculator/soa.php
I don't know how well it will work on tablets/mobiles.
If looks like you'll be wanting to aim for say £1000 a month.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Another vote for YNAB, and another vote for doing an SOA - sometimes it needs to be seen in writing to recognise the ridiculousness of paying £50 per month for Sky (for example) when you're trying to be frugal. Good luck with your goals!0 -
Paradigm shift from spending more than you earn to saving over £1100 per month consistently every month for 3 years.
Have you saved £1100 in a month yet ?
Overspending is psychological and bit like a sieve.
You initially both need to agree life goals and then agree some SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timeboud) You currently have a S M T objective, can you work on the A & R ?!
Secondly reconcile you bank account daily including all costs (SO, DD, savings for 1/4ly 1/2 and annual bills) internet purchases and all CC charges.
good luckDebt is a symptom, solve the problem.0 -
YNAB is great but you need to have access to a laptop pr computer to reconcile and input the budget amounts, yes you can add the spending on the go with the phone app but you also need drop box and a laptop, internet access
