of those two the Canon by a mile. Sensor size does matter too. I quite like that canon.

Don't discount Pentax - you get a lot for your money with them. I love the canon menu - it's the best I've used / seen and is VERY intuitive.

I use cameras from Canon / Pentax / Fuji - I did have, for a short while, a panasonic GX-1 - I loathed it - hated the handling and just didn't gel with it. Traded it in for the Fuji X10. Oh and the panasonic kit zoom is , mechanically, just awful.

Defo go and handle them though, if you haven't already, it can make a very big difference - you need to like how it feels / handles.

Good luck and hope you're happy with what you choose.
Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing

Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying

    Some good advice.

I'll repeat the try them in your hands, very important.

I use a Canon, mines an older 450D dslr and it suits me. I have thought about upgrading but if I'm honest it still gives great results, I have a couple of great lenses, so am sticking with it.

I also have a more compact Canon G9 for when the 450 is to big. Another great little camera with full manual control so the latest Generation range might be worth a look.

I recently decided that I should leave G9 on my boat, my excuse for a new camera. :A

I ended up with a lumix DMC 100 which I love. I've not had it long so I'm still getting to grips with it but so far it's excellent.
One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.
