Couple both claiming carers allowance

My partner is disabled and gets DLA, I claim carers allowance for looking after him.
I have been changed over from DLA to PIP and get standard rate of the daily living component. My partner is now able to claim carers allowance for looking after me.
My question is will any money come off our joint ESA claim?
When I got the carers allowance it reduced the ESA as it took the disabled premium away. Would any more come off by him claiming the carers allowance for me?
Thank you

I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

do you receive income related ESA and does any other adult live with you?
if yes to both of the above, you would be better off closing the carers allowance claim and instead both claiming the severe disability premium ( as 3 disabled adults living together can still get SDP)
if you claim carers allowance for each other, they will take the whole amount from your ESA and give youb carts premiums.
if you don't, you will receive couples SDP which is around £35 s week more each0 -
Yes we jointly claim ESA but nobody else lives with us. I didn't realise we would both get SDP as I only get standard rate of the daily living component.I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

either rate of PIP qualifies for the severe disability premium ( as long as the other conditions are met)0
