Leaseholder home insurance

Hi, new here.

bought a leasehold flat a while ago and was wondering/worrying  about the insurance. There's a maintenance charge which I believe covers the building insurance and I have therefore contents insurance only. But I was wondering how far this actually covered me? Is there anything not within the structure of the flat that is not contents? ( Sorry about the double negative ). ie am I actually fully covered? Or what do I need to check or could anyone point me in the right direction for answers?

All the best and thanks in anticipation:T .

I suggest you read the policy booklets for both the buildings and contents covers.

The only thing I remember for living in another flat that may be excluded on your buildings insurance is damage from leaks (either if the damage is your fault or you damage someone elses property.) You need to read the policy wording to check this.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p
