My postal entry got posted to me!

Postcard entries are not necessarily "spending".
I get free postcards from the local cinema, I do the Royal Mail survey so get free stamps.
It doesn't cost me a penny
(And I've had some pretty fab wins from postals too!)
Not that is bothers me if people pay to enter or not but the stamps are not free, the survey site just cuts out the step of people earning cash and buying stamps by paying the members in stamps (and L2S vouchers).0 -

Doesn't make a difference to me. I do something that doesn't make me go out of my way to complete, so I see it as getting them for free. Thanks to all posters :A0 -
Oh look what I've started...
:rotfl:
I honestly don't see it as gambling since royal mail is not affiliated with the competitions I'm entering. The money I pay to put a stamp on my entry is not actually being paid to enter the competition, it is being paid to send the entry to the competition provider.
Anyway we shall all agree to disagree

Any stamps bought now, with '1st' or '2nd' on them are still valid I think, even if price goes up?
EVERY comp has some cost, to enter- the electricity used, when online, share of broadband subscription etc!
As for bingo, its part of a night out- any winnings would be a bonus!breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0 -
I'm more selective of postal comps done, now.breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0

It can cost more to enter by text or phone, so are all those who post on the postal/text/phone board slated for exercising their free will to enter a competition? It is a very popular board.
I spoke to a postal worker about my postcard entries being returned to me. He told me that the automated machinery picks up on a postcode at the end of an address. I have now started to add my telephone number and 'No Info' directly underneath the postcode and it seems to have worked.
I've been doing postal entries since the 1980s and it's been very lucrative over the years, my best win was a car.0 -

Pubbing is not profitable (for me!) neither, but there is at least something to show for it.. :belly:breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0 -
