Just Moved Home, Should I wait before applying for a new CC

Options
Hi all,

I recently moved in with my girlfriend for the first time, I currently have a cc with First Direct, but this doesn't have 0% on any purchases and I am looking at buying a new laptop. I've seen some of the offers on MSE and they look pretty good but there's a couple of things that I'm worried about:

1) Electoral Roll - I am actually on the electoral roll for the new place where I live (I registered soon after moving in) but at least one Credit Agency (Equifax) still haven't got it showing that I am.

2) Other recent credit - I am actually in the process of getting a car via a PCP finance deal, on the balance of probability is it going to look like I'm after a lot of credit in too short a time?

3) Because there is no real address history at this property I might scare them off.

Am I best to just wait a few months before doing anything?? I tried asking FD if they could put 0% on purchases on my card (since they offer it for new customers now!) but they said no..

Just after a little bit of advice from those with a better knowledge of CC's than myself.

Thanks for any help received!

probably best to wait a little while. That being said there is no real harm with you applying and if you dont get it then just wait a few months (dont keep trying with other providers!)

Also would wait till you have got your car finance in place so you dont damage your chances on that...

When asked for addresses just state you have lived there for less than a year, their next question will then be "what is your previous address".
